Sustainability

Its the goal of FF Skagen to manage and utilise the resources in the seas surrounding us, on long term basis. This is based upon the best independent scientific evidence and assesment in co-operation with accredited experts, official organisations and bodies.

FF Skagen are producing fishmeal and fishoil from sustainable, responsible and renewable fish species. We are receiving our rawmaterial from Danish waters all the way to the Northernmost fishing grounds in the Atlantic.

FF Skagen will not manufacture fishmeal and fishoil from fish of endangered species, specified by Danish and international organisations. Our products are produced in accordance with the fishing requirements for sustainability laid down by FAO and ICES.

Sustainability is a key driver in FF Skagen's development, with respect to the environment, product quality and sustainability of each type of rawmaterial used in our production.

We are producing our products from the following fish spieces :

Sandeel, sprats, bluewhiting, capelin and norway pout.

Fishtrimmings from the filletting industry, mainly herring.
